In order to disconnect and reconnect the battery on a 2016 GMC Canyon for flat-towing without having to use any tools, I recommend the Battery Disconnect Switch with Lock part # 3376391005. The disconnect switch will get mounted in the engine bay so you will need to pop the hood each time but you don't have to worry about undoing any bolts as all that is required to cut power is simply turning the handle to the off position.
